Zero degrees of separation…

Wow. I personally know three people who are listed in the IMDb!

Yesterday I got an e-mail from the Ashby church. A few years back, the church keyboardist (usually piano) was a very gifted high school, then music school student named Tim Rodier. Tim left us, to our great regret, to go to LA and try to break into film composing. He’s still working on it, but Ward, from the church, just sent around an email to tell us that Tim has a page in the IMDb. Tim Rodier.

Today, I looked that up, and I thought about my former covenmate, Rowan Morrigan, who won money in the state lottery and about fifteen years ago decided to follow his bliss, go out to LA, go to film school and try to become a director. Last time he was on the East Coast, he took me out to dinner, but we haven’t been in touch for a while, so I didn’t know how he was doing. It occurred to me to wonder if he had an IMDb page yet. Here he is! Rowan Morrigan.

Then, of course, there is the daughter of my former co-worker, who I have met, who reads all the scripts for Ron Howard’s studio, Imagine Entertainment, and spent months in Europe working with the company on “The Da Vinci Code,” and who I bet will read my book. Give it up for Anna Culp! (Her brother stood up in the movie theatre at the start of “The Da Vinci Code” and made a general announcement to the audience that his sister worked on the movie, and half the audience stayed to watch the credits and applaud when her name went by.)
