I finished Van Helsing for part of yesterday’s workout. The silliness factor does not abate. It is slightly ameliorated by Hugh Jackman’s finally getting all those heavy clothes off his upper body–my. Didn’t he buff up for this movie, though. It was a shame when he grew all that fur. Nice little riff from “Conan the Barbarian” with Kate Beckinsale’s cremation scene. At least she gets to go to heaven…I have a feeling Van Helsing won’t be so lucky.

Great quote, though:

“One thing I’ve learned is never to be the first one to stick your hand in a viscous material.”
