What American accent do you have?

Your Result: The Midland

“You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Kind of weird, actually. I was born in Vermont, lived a year in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at age 5, then was in Spokane, Washington until age 15, and since then, New England. My parents were both born and grew up in Syracuse, NY, and lived there until they were married, so that’s their accent. I’ve spent 78% of my life in New England, and the furthest south I’ve ever lived was Acton, Massachusetts. I guess you couldn’t tell any of this from my accent! Funny, I’ve been thinking about auditioning for voice-over work, though.
