I probably misspelled that and I’m not going to check. :-p

Last night I took down my tree, and before I did so, I tried out my new digital camera for the first time, taking some photos. I put them up online, since some people had expressed an interest in seeing them. This is the first tree I’ve had for several years, and my Yule decorations and supplies were in sorry shape. They’re being put away much more carefully and attentively now than they have been for quite some time. I’ve taken down everything but the window lights, which I may leave up for a while longer since they’re blue (not red and green), and pretty. The tree, which was a balsam fir from Nova Scotia according to the tag, I chopped into pieces–that is, I cut all the branches off and have them hanging up in bags to dry so I can remove all the needles for aromatherapy pillows. The trunk will probably go into the fireplace when it’s dried, there’s not much to it.

The photos actually look even better when they come out of the camera–I had to reduce these to about a quarter of their original size so they’d fit on the webpage and not take decades to load.
