JANUARY
1. Who kissed you last New Year? I was at work and then came home alone.

2. Did you have a new year’s resolution? Two, both of which came to naught.

3. Does it snow where you live? Yes, quite a bit, although usually not so much before January 1st.
4. Do you like hot chocolate? No. Even when I was a child I didn’t like it.

5. Have you ever been to Times Square to watch the ball drop? No. I went to Keene, New Hampshire’s First Night once, and that’s the only big public New Year’s event I’ve ever gone to. Although that was kind of fun–fireworks, even.

FEBRUARY
1. Who was your Valentine? One of our former shelter clients gave me a little stuffed Snoopy–which really surprised me!
2. When you were little, did you buy valentines for your whole class? Yes. Back then, that’s what you did.

3. Do you care if the groundhog sees its shadow or not? Nope.

MARCH

1. Are you Irish? Partly.
2. Do you wear green on St. Patty’s Day? Just enough to keep from getting pinched or something. I’m also Welsh, and I’ve been known to wear a leek on St. David’s Day! (March 1st)

3. What did you do for St. Patty’s Day in 2006? I went to work.

APRIL
1. Do you like the rain? Yes, unless it’s laundry day. I don’t own a dryer, and it’s nice to be able to use the outside line.
2. Did you play an April fool’s joke on anyone this year? No.

3. Do you get tons of candy on Easter? From whom would I get candy?

4. Do you celebrate 4/20? Is there some reason to? April 19th is Patriots’ Day in my state, and it’s also my dad’s birthday.

5. Do you love the month of April? Eh. It’s okay.

MAY

1. What is your favorite flower? I like most of them. Lilacs, hyacinths, iris would top the list.
2. Do you like the spring? I like all the seasons.
3. Finish the phrase “April showers” bring May lawn mowers.
4. What is the first color you think of when you think of Spring? bright, bright yellow.

JUNE

1. What year did/will you graduate from high school? 1974.
2. Did you do anything fun during this month? Well, I quit my soul-killing, life-sucking Job From Hell! Although quitting wasn’t nearly as much fun as I used to imagine it would be.

JULY

1. What did you do on the Fourth of July? I went to a parade with my sister, bro-in-law, niece and nephew. That was actually a lot of fun. I missed all the fireworks this year, though.
2. Did you go on any vacations during this month? On any…what?
3. Do you blast the A/C all day? I don’t have A/C–not even in the car. It’s evil and destroys the environment. Besides, for several summers now, it’s barely even gotten hot.

AUGUST
1.Did you do anything special at the end of your summer? No.
2. What was your favorite summer memory of ’06? Well, it was a pretty dismal summer this year. I guess doing the Davis Mega-Maze with my sister, niece and nephew was kind of fun.
3. Did you have sunburn? No.

September

1. Do you like fall better then summer? Yes, but September isn’t it!

OCTOBER

1. What was your favorite Halloween costume? I didn’t see any this year.
2. What is your favorite candy? Chocolate truffles.
3. What did you dress up as this year? I don’t dress up, I observe Samhain on the 31st.

NOVEMBER

1. Whose house do you go to for Thanksgiving? This year, Thanksgiving was at my house–just two of us, my dad and me.
2. Do you love stuffing? Yes, but I can’t eat it.
3. What are you thankful for? Too much to list, I’d be here all night!

DECEMBER
1. Do you celebrate Christmas? No. I go along with family stuff, but I hate Christmas. I hated Christmas as a little kid. I observe Yule on the Solstice. That’s the holiday that has meaning for me.
2. What is December 1st, 2006? A Friday?

3. Have you ever been kissed under mistletoe? No.
4. Get anything special? I haven’t found out yet!
5. What do you want? Ummm…a digital camera, and world peace?
6. Do you like cold weather? Yes, although I’d like it more if it stayed outside. I can’t afford to turn my heat up. I’m getting acclimated better now, though.
