INVITATION FOR QUOTE
The Winchendon Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites quotes from general contractors, for the Roofing of MA03900001P, Federal Elderly development units numbered as follows, 131, 133, 135 and 137 Ipswich Drive and 21 Shed Roofs onsite in Winchendon, Massachusetts. The project consists of the removal of (2) Layers of the old roofing down to the sheathing, (approximately 105 sq.), also the old roof vents and drip edge, and dispose of properly. Inspect the sheathing, to make sure there is no rotten sheathing or fascia trim. Then, cut the sheathing along the top to allow for new ridge vent. Repair holes in sheathing from the old vents to allow a secure surface for roofing material to be installed. The roof will then be re-roofed with 2 rows, (6 feet), all rakes, hips and valleys will be fully covered and flashed according to manufacturer’s specifications with Grace Ice and Water or equal, white 8? drip edge and a 30-year Architectural shingles. Also, the existing gutters will be removed and replaced with metal seamless, (white) gutters. All main buildings that have front and rear entrance roof will also be stripped and re-roofed per specifications. Sheds will be reroofed in the same process and drip edge installed along all edges. NOTE: All materials will be supplied by the WHA. Material quantities will be the responsibility of the contractor for ordering by WHA staff. Trash removal and any dumpster cost will be incurred by the contractor. Any and all permitting required by local codes is the responsibility of the contractor. Estimated Total Construction Labor and Disposal Cost: $27,500. Quotes are subject to M.G.L. c. 149 A-J and Davis-Bacon Wage Rates set forth in the Quote Package/ Project Manual.
