As in, I have some. I spent the last five solid days finishing the edits for the next book BLUM is releasing, and I just sent the edits off to the author this morning. Whew!!! I also did mandatory chores and workouts, went to the transfer station, had a Parish Committee meeting on Monday night, baked a batch of fruit/oatmeal cookies, posted an interview to Blogcritics and did some Blogcritics follow-up. But otherwise it’s been all edit, all day, since Saturday. I couldn’t bear to take a break and run errands, so I didn’t go shopping this week yet, even just downtown. Brunch, as I call my first meal of the day, was two apples, bread and cheese because that’s all I had left in the house!
I went to Kimball’s Fruit Farm and got peaches, a yellow zucchini, a sweet red pepper and tomatoes; I got cabbage, potatoes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, apples and a cantaloupe on special at the grocery store. I’m good for a while now!
Now it’s back to more of the big projects on my To-Do list. Most of them cannot be finished in one day (or they wouldn’t still be on the list). But I’m really making progress clearing out the backlog! Feels good, but man, I’m not going to be able to breathe until at least the end of the month.
I’m batting around a short story idea that popped into my head after something really annoying happened on Tuesday. I’m not sure if it will go anywhere, though.
One Response to Food, glorious food!
