Tentative update on my dad

I talked to dad at around noon, after having considerable difficulty connecting to his room at the hospital. He’s having a “nuclear stress test” today, which involves stuff with dye and isotopes and a series of imaging sessions spaced over about seven hours. The last session was supposed to be at 2:00 p.m. and then dad expected to be discharged to go home. He said he’s feeling much better. He’s gotten lots of chewing out from my sister and the doctors about his meds and he’s progressed to getting defensive about it. *sigh* He said he “didn’t think they were finding anything” with the stress test and just wanted “to cover all their bases.” I hope so.

You’d think someone with my dad’s I.Q. wouldn’t do something so clueless with his prescribed medication, but when comes to health stuff, my dad just doesn’t want to deal. It’s very frustrating. He’s going to get more lectures, because my sister is flying out today for a business conference and then is staying with dad for a couple of days–this was planned a while ago. She is not happy with dad at the moment!
