Last December 14th, I noted here that Gwinnett County, Georgia parent Laura Mallory had lost another scuffle in her relentless crusade to remove the Harry Potter books from the school libraries there. The school department had refused, and she had appealed to the state Board of Education, which upheld the schools’ decision.
Ms. Mallory, who evidently is a couple of Horcruxes short of a soul, took her case to the state Superior Court. Superior Judge Ronnie Batchelor has just ruled in favor of Harry, upholding the Board of Education’s decision. The monomoniacal Ms. Mallory (her poor, poor kids…) now says that she’s going to try federal court.
Gee, why not? They haven’t got anything more important to worry about.
