VFW Post of Jaffrey Sponsors Seat in New Park Theatre

Performing arts center receives gift for new auditorium

JAFFREY, New Hampshire (October 30, 2019) The Park Theatre received a $1,000 gift from the VFW Jaffrey Memorial Post to sponsor a seat in the new 350 seat William David Eppes Auditorium. The $1,000 gift was presented by the VFW Jaffrey Post Commander, David Watts, to The Park Theatre’s CEO and Managing Director, Steve Jackson. The presentation was made on October 29 inside the construction site of the new performing arts center in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.

“We are overwhelmed with the support our local communities have given the Theatre. Our seat sponsorship program is especially heartwarming because the name plaques on the seats will be a historic who’s who of families, businesses, fraternal organizations, and foundations in Jaffrey and throughout the Monadnock region. It’s a gift that will be seen and live on for generations,” said Steve Jackson.

The Park Theatre will be the first community-based performing arts center to be built from the ground up in the Monadnock region in almost one hundred years. It will be a showplace for national and regional musical performers as well as theatrical productions from New England playwrights, local performing groups, school productions, and movies from new Hollywood releases to independents, classics, documentaries, foreign and animation. It will also present HD screenings of The Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Ballet & Royal Opera. Additionally, it will provide after school theatre-craft programs and filmmaking courses. Finally, it will generate over two dozen new jobs and promote business and real estate development in Jaffrey and the surrounding communities.

FITCHBURG, MA - Stephanie K. Fattman, Register of Probate for the Worcester Probate and Family Court, has collaborated with the Worcester Northern District Register of Deeds, Kathleen R. Daigneault to launch the second Probate and Family Court Satellite Registry in Northern Worcester County.

The satellite registry launched on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in a formal ceremony attended by community leaders and court users in the Worcester Northern Registry of Deeds. The new satellite registry will expand Probate and Family court registry services to northern Worcester County.

“During my first four years in office, I have heard litigants, attorneys, and social service agencies express the need for court services in Fitchburg and Leominster,” says Register Fattman. “Currently all 800,000 constituents in Worcester County travel to one courthouse in Worcester, but with families facing difficulties commuting, and conflicting and busy schedules we’ve seen the need to provide access to justice in Northern Worcester County.”

The Probate and Family Court satellite registry will be open the First Wednesday of every month at the Northern Worcester County Registry of Deeds, located at 166 Boulder Drive, Fitchburg from 9am-1pm. Services of the satellite registry will include a guardianship clinic, a lawyer for the day program, access to cases, filing services, magistrate help, and an informal probate session.

This is Register Fattman’s second Northern County Probate and Family Court Satellite Registry to launch this year. In June, Register Fattman launched a satellite registry in the Gardner District Court open from 9am-1pm on the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
