{"id":303,"date":"2007-10-15T16:08:00","date_gmt":"2007-10-15T16:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vyrdolak.com\/wordpress\/?p=303"},"modified":"2007-10-15T16:08:00","modified_gmt":"2007-10-15T16:08:00","slug":"mortal-touch-is-listed-in-locus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vyrdolak.com\/wordpress\/?p=303","title":{"rendered":"Mortal Touch is listed in Locus!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Granted, I didn&#8217;t get a review&#8211;but I would have been rather surprised at that. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.locusmag.com\/\"><i>Locus<\/i><\/a> is a serious industry periodical for the science-fiction\/fantasy trade and they&#8217;re prejudiced strongly toward the big trad houses. But every month they have long sections at the back of the magazine listing &#8220;Books Received,&#8221; &#8220;British Books Received&#8221; and &#8220;Magazines Received&#8221; during the month. The October issue was the issue that would have August&#8217;s &#8220;received&#8221; and I&#8217;ve been climbing the walls for two weeks waiting for it to appear on newsstands (and I really have to subscribe, too).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been calling Borders and B&#038;N, and checking when I was in Nashua, and today, the October issue was <u>finally<\/u> there. I was so nervous, I couldn&#8217;t even look at it until I got home from running errands, put everything away, and sat down! Then I looked at the back&#8230;and there I am! And everything is even spelled right!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m in <i>Locus<\/i>!! I mean&#8230;I am In. <i>Locus<\/i>. My name and my book title and my publishing company&#8217;s URL are listed in <i>Locus<\/i>. Every genre fan who reads the magazine and looks through the listings at the back to see what&#8217;s out that might be interesting will see <i>Mortal Touch<\/i>. And the books are alphabetically by author&#8217;s name, too, so no one will be tired of reading before they get that far.
