{"id":161,"date":"2007-03-05T13:13:00","date_gmt":"2007-03-05T13:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vyrdolak.com\/wordpress\/?p=161"},"modified":"2007-03-05T13:13:00","modified_gmt":"2007-03-05T13:13:00","slug":"the-unexpected-problems-people-have","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vyrdolak.com\/wordpress\/?p=161","title":{"rendered":"The unexpected problems people have&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=left>\n<p>I spotted this headline from today&#8217;s Boston <i>Globe<\/i>:<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/local\/maine\/articles\/2007\/03\/05\/winters_a_trial_for_maines_nudists\/?rss_id=Boston+Globe+--+City%2FRegion+News\">Winters a trial for Maine&#8217;s nudists<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I remember in the early 80&#8217;s when &#8220;skyclad&#8221; or &#8220;clothing optional&#8221; Pagan gatherings were more or less the rule, and organizers prioritized finding locations that allowed that. Gradually more and more gatherings started to get restrictive, pleading that their site wouldn&#8217;t permit nudity or that parents were bringing more kids to gatherings and the parents objected to the kids seeing strangers &#8220;skyclad.&#8221; I haven&#8217;t been to gatherings for quite some time, but like SF conventions, they seem to have gotten very commercialized&#8211;and therefore, much more conservative and conventional.
