Mortal Touch is listed in Locus!!

Granted, I didn’t get a review–but I would have been rather surprised at that. Locus is a serious industry periodical for the science-fiction/fantasy trade and they’re prejudiced strongly toward the big trad houses. But every month they have long sections at the back of the magazine listing “Books Received,” “British Books Received” and “Magazines Received” during the month. The October issue was the issue that would have August’s “received” and I’ve been climbing the walls for two weeks waiting for it to appear on newsstands (and I really have to subscribe, too).

I’ve been calling Borders and B&N, and checking when I was in Nashua, and today, the October issue was finally there. I was so nervous, I couldn’t even look at it until I got home from running errands, put everything away, and sat down! Then I looked at the back…and there I am! And everything is even spelled right!

I’m in Locus!! I mean…I am In. Locus. My name and my book title and my publishing company’s URL are listed in Locus. Every genre fan who reads the magazine and looks through the listings at the back to see what’s out that might be interesting will see Mortal Touch. And the books are alphabetically by author’s name, too, so no one will be tired of reading before they get that far. Page 43, first full entry at the top of the second column.

Wow.
