Well, I just made an idiot of myself at the post office…

My Bloomsbury edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is here!

I whooped. *sheepish smile* I’m sure it made quite an impression along with my really, really blue hair (I redid the color just last night).

My poison ivy is much better–mostly down to the bad-sunburn stage. I slathered everything with Bag Balm last night, which really helped, but now all the sheets are hanging out on the line, because it sure makes a mess. My left wrist is more like second-degree burns…yowsers. But it’s healing up, too.

No spoilers (of course!) on Harry, because I’m just about to crack the cover, but I already noticed one thing. I think this is the first book that’s started out with some very serious, classical quotations. Hmmm.

I still need to see the current movie, too! I’ve had to wait for this bleepin’ poison ivy to clear up. I had a busy day yesterday, though: I got all four cats to the vet, two at a time, for their annual checkups, and then squeezed in a long-overdue haircut besides. Whew.
