Blerg…

Looks like I will be in seclusion for what promises to be a glorious summer weekend, and not because I’m staying in bed with Harry Potter. (Ummm… YOU know what I mean!)

Harry Potter would run screaming from the room if he saw me, anyway, because I have the most abysmal case of poison ivy, and it’s just kept on getting worse and worse. More details would absolutely fall into the TMI category, but I feel like an ichorous something that was just invoked from the beyond in a story by Lovecraft…you know, the kind of thing that leaves little puddles in its wake. It’s just about that bad. I’ve tried Benadryl (pills and topical ointment) with no apparent effect, so…until it dries up, I’m hiding.

And, I suppose, if I don’t want spoilers for …Deathly Hallows, I’ll have to stay away from everyone else’s lj’s, the newspaper and almost all the Internet until my book arrives from Canada. As it is, I’ve barely escaped finding out WHO DIES several times by hitting the touchpad really fast.

It’s not that I won’t read the book, anyway–and being a hopeless recidivist who reads books and watches movies over and over and over, knowing the ending doesn’t stop me from enjoying the journey. But it would be nice, for a change, not to know.

Writing and publishing topics will be posted to blum_community from now on, mostly because I’m trying hard to update that community on a regular basis. The more often it’s updated, the higher it appears on the list of “hits” whenever someone does an interest search on lj. Communities are listed first and the most recently updated is at the top. Anyone else who wants to post to blum_community, feel free to join! It’s for discussion of writing, publishing, and reading vampire-related fiction, and non-fiction if anyone wants.
