“Tagged” Meme–10 Odd Facts about me

Gakked from annef but, like her, I’m not tagging anyone in particular. If you read this, consider yourself tagged! 🙂

Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.

Here’s 10 mostly weird things about me:
1. I have “cross dominance.” I’m left-eyed and right-handed. My folks were warned to watch me for learning disabilities, but I never displayed any.
2. I have bilateral asymmetry. Everything on the left side of my body is slightly larger and stronger than the right side–including internally. My left leg is slightly longer than my right leg.
3. I never got nine adult teeth. I never got my first set of molars and I still have three baby teeth. I only got three of the third set of molars (the extra one’s on the left) and I never got any wisdom teeth.
4. I stopped growing at the age of 12, and I was short for a 12-year-old.
5. I have a minor congenital heart defect. Despite the fact that it caused a heart murmur, it wasn’t diagnosed until I was 46.
6. I was born in Springfield, Vermont. Springfield was an industrial center for tool and die making and has numerous toxic waste sites. I couldn’t say if this fact is related to facts 1 through 5.
7. In junior high school, I took aptitude tests that were scaled differently for boys and girls. I scored so high in spatial relations it went off the scale for girls. They still wouldn’t let me take shop. (Yes, I tried.)
8. I blow out light bulbs by touching the light switch (lamps or fixtures). This never happens unless I am in a very specific mental state (I can best describe it as “aggressively ruminating”–often, I’m having a mental conversation with someone and have gotten somewhat passionate about it). I visited annef for two days and had to replace the light bulb in her bathroom. 🙁
9. I’ve designed and sewn wedding clothing for three people, based on fantasy or Medieval motifs.
10. I thought quite seriously about becoming a funeral director as a career.
