Lucy A. Gardner

LUCY A. GARDNER
April 6, 1944 ~ March 7, 2020 (Age 75)

ATHOL – Lucy A. (Attianese) Gardner, 75, formerly of 494 School Street, died peacefully Saturday morning, March 7, 2020 in Keystone Center, Leominster, with her family at her side.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 6, 1944, daughter of the late Salvatore and Jennie Scapa Attianese and grew up in New York. Lucy was a resident of Athol for 4 years and recently moved to Leominster.

Lucy worked as a certified nursing assistant in her later years. In her earlier years, she enjoyed crocheting and crafts. Her biggest pleasure was spending time with her family. Lucy also adored all animals.

She leaves her children, Elizabeth Nicosia and her husband John of Andover and Neraida Colvin of Cross City, FL; two brothers, Anthony Poirier and his wife Peggy of Winchendon, Salvatore Attianese of FL and Jean Casavecchia and her husband Al of Hinsdale N.H.; two daughters-in-law, Rhonda Delarosa of Winchendon and Theresa Delarosa of Leominster; twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two sons, Anthony Delarosa and Carlos Delarosa, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Calling hours in the funeral home will precede the funeral from 12 to 2 P.M.

Judith Bartlett

JUDITH BARTLETT
December 22, 1941 ~ March 8, 2020 (Age 78)

West Brookfield - Judith Ann (Brown) Bartlett, 78, of West Brookfield passed away peacefully on March 8, 2020, at The Overlook in Charlton after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, John Bartlett in 2017, and two brothers, Kenneth Brown and Charles Brown.

She leaves her two sons, Daniel Bartlett and his wife Susan Lessard of Bucksport, Maine and Dennis Bartlett of West Brookfield and his partner Jean Enright; two granddaughters, Danielle Hammond and her husband Charles and great-granddaughter Adalyn Hammond of Windham, Maine, and Courtney George and her husband Matthew of Portland, Maine; two former daughters-in-law, Clarice Evans and her husband Frank Evans of Windham, Maine, and Anne Marie Julian and her husband Robert Julian of Sneeds Ferry, North Carolina; sisters, Margot Abbott and her husband William of Keene, New Hampshire, Shirley Brown of Cromwell, Connecticut and Marie Samuel of Grafton, Wisconsin, as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Judith was born in Framingham on December 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Everett Brown and Clarine (Reeve) Brown. She was raised in Hopkinton and Winchendon and was a resident of West Brookfield for more than 50 years. Judith was an active member of the George Whitefield United Methodist Church for many years and served on numerous committees and as the church secretary.

The family gratefully acknowledges the wonderful care provided by the staff at The Overlook in Charlton where Judith was a resident in the assisted living facility for the past three years.

A Funeral Service for Judith will be held at the George Whitefield United Methodist Church, 33 West Main Street, West Brookfield in the spring. Following the funeral service, a joint committal service will be held for her and John in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield.

In lieu of flowers, Judith requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the George Whitefield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 576, West Brookfield, MA, 01585.

Joseph R. Pothier

JOSEPH R. POTHIER
October 1, 1938 ~ March 6, 2020 (Age 81)

Joseph "Roger" R. Pothier, 81 years old, of Leominster died Friday, March 6, 2020 in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Joyce A. (Maroni) Pothier, daughters Michelle Schomacker and her husband Kevin of Maynard and Suzanne Dodos and her husband James of Westford; son Michael Pothier and his wife Mary Ellen of Leominster; brothers Gerard Pothier of Ashburnham, Raymond Pothier and his wife Patricia of Winchendon and Paul Pothier and his wife Estelle of Leominster; sisters Claire White and her husband Donald of Rutland, Pauline Guillemette and her husband Marcel of Leominster, Irene Iwanow of Worcester and Jeannette Marcoux and her husband Joseph of Leominster; 8 grandchildren Patrick, Jason and Matthew Schomacker, Andrew, Bradley and Mark Pothier, Rachel and Katherine Dodos. He was predeceased by his brother Marcel Pothier in 2010.

Roger was born in Leominster on October 1, 1938, son of Wilfrid and Julliette (LeBlanc) Pothier and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fitchburg in 1957 and from the Wentworth Institute in Boston in 1959. Roger served in the U.S. Army. He was a manager of Design Engineering Services at the former Digital Equipment Corporation for over 25 years. Roger was a devoted member of Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster.

He was the complete and consummate family man. His whole family, especially his grandchildren, was his purpose and fulfillment. He was a mentor, provider, handyman, carpenter, and jack-of-all-trades. He relished traveling the world with his sweetheart and companion, Joyce. He left an indelible mark on all who knew and met him. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 11th at 11:30 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11th prior to the funeral mass from 9 - 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Grace D. Meyer

GRACE D. MEYER
March 7, 2020 (Age 94)

Grace D. (Grun) Meyer, 94, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Westminster, MA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Peter Becker Community.

She was the loving wife of the late Clayton L. Meyer for 66 years. Grace was born in Glenside, Pennsylvania to the late Edward W. Grun and the late Laura M. (Kelly) Grun.

She graduated from Cheltenham High School in Gleniside, PA, class of 1943.

Grace worked as a bank teller for the former Land Trust Bank in Philadelphia. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Grace then worked in the clerical department for Educational Testing Services in Ewing, NJ.

She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Levittown where she sang in the church choir and Bethany Baptist Church in Winchendon, MA where she served as a deaconess.

Grace was an attendee of the Peter Becker Community Chapel, a member of the quilting club and was an active volunteer. She was also a Schwenkfelder and was active with a Schwenkfelder organization.

One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her late husband. They loved taking long walks and holding hands. They also loved traveling in the car and taking annual trips to Block Island, RI, and the lake in Massachusetts.

Grace enjoyed being in the outdoors especially bird watching and gardening. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, and bowling. Grace also enjoyed listening to music especially country, hymns, and soft rock.

She was a serious, precise, sweet, dedicated woman who was very detail oriented and had a unique sense of humor. Grace was also very artistic and creative.

She is survived by her four children, Ellen K. Ausura of Exeter, RI, Lawrence A. Meyer & wife, Debra of Newtown, PA, Edward S. Meyer & wife, Marie of Bristol, Karen J. Buck of Bristol, PA; her nine grandchildren – Jeffrey, Chris, Andrew, Peter, Matthew, Vanessa, Daniel, Jennifer, & Anna; and her 14 great-grandchildren – Alyssa, Luke, Scott, Jackson, Jillian, Jordan, Naomi, Alexandra, Elliott, Vincent, Ella, Aubry, Logan, & Caleb.

In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by her three sisters, Dorothy Johnston, Ruth Stuetz, and Elva Wells.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
