George Bousquet

George J. Bousquet Jr.
August 15, 1942 ~ September 18, 2019 (Age 77)


WINCHENDON – George J. Bousquet Jr., 77, of 176 Glenallen Street, died Wednesday morning, September 18, 2019 at his residence.
He was born in Winchendon on August 15, 1942, son of the late George J and Henrietta (Caouette) Bousquet and was a 1960 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Fitchburg. During the Vietnam War, George proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
George worked for many years as a groundskeeper for the Winchendon Public School System. He was a prominent member of Murdock Sports Boosters and was elected to the Murdock High School Sports Hall of Fame. For 25 years, George owned and operated the former Garden Glen Greenhouse.
George was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a life member of Eugene M. Connor Post 193 American Legion, to which he belonged for 53 years. George was a member and former officer of the Winchendon Kiwanis Club since 1988. For many years, George was an election poll worker for the town.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Joan M. (Elliott) Bousquet; three children, Dr. Mark R. Bousquet and his significant other Dr. Lauren Esposito of Scranton, PA, Michael R. Bousquet and his wife Natalie of Norwalk, CT and Kristy E. Bousquet and her significant other Casey Barrieau of Leominster and two grandchildren, Ivy and Harper Bousquet. A brother, Richard Bousquet, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Military honors will follow at 1 P.M. in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 5 to 7 P.M.

Loring Bennett

Loring E. Bennett, Sr.
June 10, 1932 ~ September 10, 2019 (Age 87)


WINCHENDON- Loring E. Bennett, Sr., 87, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, September 10, 2019 in his home, with family at his side.
He was born June 10, 1932, son of the late Fred Bennett and Laura (Tucker) Bennett and lived most of his life in Winchendon. A Korean War veteran, Loring proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Loring worked at New England Woodenware, the former Temple Stuart Furniture Company, and finally the MH Parks company, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved cat, Raven.
He leaves his wife of 68 years, Beatrice D. (LaPlante) Bennett; 7 children, Loring E. Bennett Jr. of Heron, Montana, Wanda L. Smith of Gardner, Keith A. Bennett and his wife Robin of Winchendon, Belinda C. Champagne and her husband Normand of Stewartstown, NH, Scott W. Bennett of Winchendon, Susan M. Bennett of Cary, North Carolina, and Craig S. Bennett and his wife Kelley of Gardner; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Bernadette Bennett, a grandson, Jamon Bennett, and his 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Private burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St. Winchendon, MA is directing arrangements.
